Interstellar versterkt microsoft propositie met overname felton

Delft, September 5, 2023 – IT service provider INTERSTELLAR is taking an important step in its growth strategy with the acquisition of managed services provider Felton. The acquisition strengthens the growth ambitions of both parties, allowing them to support their customers even better in the transition to an innovative and stable IT environment. With the addition of Felton, INTERSTELLAR, with 700 employees and 165 million euros in turnover, is the partner for medium-sized organizations and institutions in the field of the modern workplace, cloud and cyber security.

Next phase for Felton
As a managed services provider, Felton has more than 35 years of experience in designing, realizing and managing secure and modern IT infrastructures. The 65 employees work from the office in Amersfoort for customers throughout the Netherlands. Felton has been part of the portfolio of TIIN Capital since 2020, which has supported the IT company in its growth through the Dutch Security TechFund and taken it to the next phase, including through the merger with Lantech. INTERSTELLAR, which was created in 2021 from various portfolio companies of investment company Quadrum Capital, is now acquiring all shares. Felton's management will remain in place after the acquisition and founder Stan Bridié will also remain involved as an advisor.

Strengthening the portfolio
Felton aims to continue to grow in the field of cloud and security as part of INTERSTELLAR and to take advantage of the group's economies of scale. For INTERSTELLAR, the acquisition offers a strengthening of the portfolio, a larger market share in the midmarket and expansion of the presence in central Netherlands.

Maarten van Montfoort, CEO of INTERSTELLAR, says about the acquisition of Felton: “We want to be the most relevant IT service provider in the Netherlands for our customers. We do this by acquiring the right knowledge and expertise and continuously developing our competencies, both organically and through acquisitions. Feltons DNA fits in seamlessly with this. The corporate culture fits well with the INTERSTELLAR organization, as well as the customers, the portfolio and the joint Microsoft-first strategy. We at INTERSTELLAR are very much looking forward to serving our customers together with the Felton team.”

Marnix van der Moolen, CEO of Felton, adds: “TIIN Capital has developed Felton in recent years to where we are today. With INTERSTELLAR we gain a strategic shareholder. This way we can continue to grow and strengthen our proposition in the field of security and cloud.”
Interstellar is part of Quadrum Investment Fund II and III.
