Quadrum Capital participates in Alkmaar-based JASA, developer and producer of packaging machines and complete weighing and packaging lines. With this cooperation JASA wants to further accelerate its international growth.
Almelo, 22nd of March 2022 - JASA develops, assembles and produces packaging machines and complete weighing and packaging lines. As a system integrator JASA takes full responsibility for the total sorting, weighing and packaging process and the filling and sealing of packages, robotized or not. For more than 35 years thousands of food producers and packers worldwide have relied on JASA's expertise.
In recent years, JASA has shown a beautiful development, whereby it maintains a strategic growth along the pillars of innovation, internationalisation and professionalism. The company is characterised by a strong innovative power. One of the innovations is that the company wants to contribute to the reduction of plastic packaging material and the reduction of energy and air consumption. All newly developed packaging machines support paper-based packaging solutions. These solutions have found their way to large supermarket chains worldwide.
In addition to innovative strength, high quality service and close cooperation with customers are paramount at JASA. These three pillars are the driving force behind the company's significant growth at home and abroad and are partly thanks to experienced and driven employees led by an ambitious management team.
The team is led by Eduard de Haan, who as CEO has already successfully worked together with a large part of the management. "We are very excited about Quadrum Capital joining us as an investor in JASA. Quadrum's no-nonsense mentality fits our DNA perfectly. The real knowledge and sincere involvement and interest in our business and markets have been decisive in our choice to partner with Quadrum Capital." said Eduard de Haan.
With the investment in JASA, Quadrum Capital has also given substance to the packaging domain within its third fund. Arjan Hoop, Managing Partner at Quadrum, explains: "The growing demand for healthy and locally produced fresh products offers many opportunities for JASA, which, thanks to its innovative and patented technology, is an excellent match for the trend towards flexible, lightweight and sustainable packaging. We have a lot of confidence in the team, whose ambitions, culture and entrepreneurship are a good match for Quadrum."
JASA serves the North American market from its office in Richmond, USA. Sandra Somford-Pannekeet, daughter of the company's original founder, will work with Quadrum Capital and her team in Richmond to shape the further expansion of JASA.
